How Convert Green makes introductions, earns referral compensation, and preserves your choice.

Convert Green is an independent education, comparison, affiliate, and referral service. We are not a solar installer, electrical contractor, engineering firm, lender, utility, government agency, or equipment manufacturer.

How referrals work

You may ask Convert Green to help you understand a project, review a proposal, or determine whether a provider may be available in your area. Submitting an initial request authorizes Convert Green to respond about that request. It does not authorize an unidentified group of installers or marketers to contact you.

If we believe a provider may be a fit, we will identify that provider before sharing your contact or project information. We will share it only after you agree to the introduction or direct us to make it. The provider may then contact you about the project you requested. You are never required to accept an introduction, request a quote, sign a contract, or purchase anything.

How Convert Green may be paid

Convert Green may receive compensation from a provider when we make an authorized introduction, when a referred customer reaches a defined milestone, or when a project is completed. Compensation may be a flat referral fee, a lead fee, or another arrangement agreed with the provider. We may also earn commissions from qualifying purchases made through clearly disclosed affiliate links.

This compensation creates a financial relationship that could affect which providers or products appear on the site. Convert Green does not represent that every provider, product, financing option, or price available in your area is included. We encourage you to compare multiple written proposals and independently verify licenses, insurance, warranties, financing terms, references, complaint history, and available incentives before signing.

Provider independence

Providers are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents, joint venturers, or representatives of Convert Green. Any proposal, site assessment, design, price, savings projection, financing offer, warranty, installation agreement, permit, interconnection application, tax representation, service obligation, or contract is solely between you and the provider or other third party that issued it.

Screening has limits

Convert Green may review public licensing, insurance, reputation, experience, or service information before making an introduction, but screening is limited to the information reasonably available at the time. It is not a guarantee of present licensing status, workmanship, solvency, safety, regulatory compliance, or results. You remain responsible for your own due diligence.

No guarantee of quotes, savings, or eligibility

Availability varies by location, property, utility, roof condition, credit, program rules, and provider capacity. We do not guarantee that a provider will be available, that you will receive one or more quotes, that a system will be approved or installed, that a project will save money, or that you will qualify for any tax credit, rebate, loan, lease, power-purchase agreement, or utility program.

Editorial independence

Compensation does not permit a provider or affiliate partner to buy a favorable factual conclusion. Our research and recommendation practices are described in our Review Methodology, and affiliate relationships are described in our Affiliate Disclosure.
